Life Through Football Academy (LTFA) is a Sydney-based football academy dedicated to helping young players develop both their football and life skills in a fun, challenging, and supportive environment. We offer tailored training through both group and individual sessions.

Our Programs

  • 1-on-1 Sessions: Focused, personalised training to develop each player’s technical, tactical, physical, and mental abilities.
  • Group Sessions: Small groups (max 10 players) combining technical drills, small-sided games, and coordination exercises to build overall football mastery.
  • TOTS Program (Ages 2–5): A play-based introduction to football that encourages physical, mental, and social development while nurturing a love for the game to prepare our students for graduation into the LTFA Program for ages 6+.

Please refer to our timetable on the front page of our website under the Class For Kids section which is up to date each week.

Please refer to our fee table under the Programs section of our website. Our fees include a registration fee payable upon enrolment along with the monthly subscription fee. See the membership section of our FAQs for more details.

Yes! Trial classes are available for our classes, group or private. Our trials are paid, and cost $11 for group sessions or $22 for private sessions.

On our home page you can book a paid trial through Class For Kids. You’ll be required to pick the date and class that works best for you and your child.

After attending the class, assuming all goes well and you would like to proceed. We will send you an invitation via Class For Kids to book your child in the class. Alternatively, you can book a class the same way you book the Paid Trial.

Yes we do! Please refer to our fee table under the Programs section of our website.

Yes. Your child’s can join their friend’s class, as long as they are the same age, and there is room in that class for your child.

Enrolment takes place on our website via the Class For Kids section on our home page. If you click “Book Now” you will be taken through the full sign-up process.

Waitlist families will be contacted via email if a spot opens. Once the email is sent families will have 72 hours to respond and secure the available spot and complete payment for their child. If no response is received within 72 hours, the spot will be offered to the next child on the waitlist and their child will be removed from the queue.

When you sign on and become a member of LTFA, you are automatically enrolled into each month’s classes until you choose to stop or cancel your membership. Subscription payment is collected on the first of each month.

All memberships continue to roll over each term and each year, unless a cancellation form is submitted. You can access the cancellation form on our website under the Support section at the bottom if you wish to cancel your subscription.

This is to be determined on a case by case basis if it is appropriate for your child to be enrolled in the next age group, although we typically recommend children to participate with students of their own age.

Every child needs to bring the following to every class:

  • LTFA uniform
  • Football boots
  • Water to drink
  • For children 6+, shin pads.

All LTFA children will have access to a nurturing environment, being free to express themselves while promoting health and wellbeing, all in the context of learning and improving their fundamental football skills and tactical outcomes as the child develops.

More importantly, the LTFA Program has a unique focus on facilitating the child’s development of key life skills including self-confidence, commitment, respect, resilience, leadership and social skills amongst many others.

Most importantly, the LTFA Program ensures each child leaves feeling better than when they first arrived and with a smile on their face!

Yes! The LTFA Program always include an element of football specific speed, strength and coordination training tailored to suit each child’s age, stage of development and ultimate needs. We can also recommend you to more specialised strength and conditioning trainers from our network if that is your preferred option.

This is a question of personal preference as well as desired goals. For children, the number one outcome should always be centred around enjoyment and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

The LTFA Program is certainly a means through which this can be achieved and adjusted for, however it is important to balance this out with not having the child be overworked. Importantly, the more touches the child gets on the ball, the more likely they are to improve and ultimately have fun in doing so.

The LTFA Tots Program caters for children aged from 18 months to 6 years old, with the LTFA Program catering for young children all the way through to late teenagers.

Membership

When you join LTFA, your child is automatically enrolled in classes each month until you decide to stop. It’s all set up as a simple membership, so you don’t need to re-register each term. Fees are taken care of automatically, so once you’re signed up, you don’t need to worry about missing a payment.

Have a question about your membership? Please email us at info@ltfa.com.au, and we promise to get back to you as soon as we can do so.

Simply fill out the cancellation form on our website. You can access the cancellation form on our website under the Support section at the bottom if you wish to cancel your subscription.

Your monthly fee is based on your session price, spread out evenly across the year. For example: If your child’s class is $45 per session, that’s $45 × 40 sessions in the year divided by 12 months = $150 per month (plus transaction fees). To calculate your monthly fee, you would follow the same process of multiplying cost per sessions x 40 sessions in the year divided by 12 months (plus transaction fees).

To cancel your membership and remove your child from the next month’s classes, you must complete the cancellation form before the 7th of the current month. Example: To cancel your membership and remove your child from March classes, the form must be submitted before the 7th of February.

Our billing runs monthly (not by school terms). This means you’ll need to cancel before the start of a new month, even if it doesn’t line up exactly with school terms.

Your membership automatically rolls over into the next year or term. If you’d like to stop, you’ll need to submit a cancellation form — otherwise, your child’s spot stays secure.

No. After testing different systems, we’ve found that monthly payments are the fairest and most convenient option for families. This also helps us keep admin time low so we can focus on what matters most — coaching and improving your child’s experience at LTFA.

Should you join part way through a month, a cover charge will be made reflecting the number of sessions you will participate in as part of that term.

Should you cancel your subscription part way through a term, your charge will reflect the number of sessions you have participated in as part of that term up to the point of cancellation.

We spread the cost evenly across the whole year to make payments smaller and easier to manage. This way, some months you’re paying less than what you’d normally pay if charged only when classes run.

Payments are taken on the 1st of each month to cover that month’s classes. Payments are automatic once your card details are set up. If the payment doesn’t go through on the 1st, it will be retried on the 4th and again on the 9th. If by the 15th it still hasn’t gone through, your child’s place in the program may be lost.

Classes

Our TOTS program runs for 45 minutes/class. Our group sessions/private sessions for 6 years + run for 60 minutes.

Please refer to our timetable on our homepage. We have sessions running Monday through to Sunday.

Classes are held at Parkside Drive Reserve, Kogarah Bay.

If the fields are closed due to wet weather conditions, we may train at an alternative suitable venue.

Our TOTS sessions have up to six children per session, whilst our group sessions (6yo+) have up to 10 children per session. We have our ratios low to ensure we can add value to each and every child.

If your child is 5 years and under, a parent or guardian must be present for the session. If your child is 6 years or older, it is not compulsory for a parent or guardian to be present during the session, however, it is strongly recommended. Please remember that our sessions are held in a public park, and while our coaches are responsible for the children during the session, they are unable to leave the group if a child needs to use the public bathroom.

No. For the safety of your child, snacks may not be given. We do not want them to bring their snack onto the field and begin play, as this creates a choking hazard. Please bring plenty of water, as that is all they will need.

LTFA provides up to 2 makeup sessions per student per term. These sessions are scheduled during the school holidays for each age group and will be confirmed at the commencement of the term.

Makeup sessions are designed to cover any missed classes, including those affected by wet weather, illness, injury, or other absences. Please note that LTFA will only offer 2 makeup sessions in the school holidays, even if more than two classes are cancelled due to wet weather.

To secure a place in a scheduled makeup session, families must email info@ltfa.com.au at least 7 days prior to the scheduled session. Requests made after this time cannot be accommodated, and attendance will not be permitted without a confirmed booking.

In the event of wet weather, LTFA may seek to provide an alternative indoor or covered venue. If a suitable venue cannot be secured, the class will be cancelled, and participants will have the option to attend a holiday makeup session as above.

Makeup sessions are offered in group format only, regardless of whether the player is enrolled in group training, private lessons, or one-on-one coaching. Individual or private sessions cannot be rescheduled or made up separately.

Please note that makeup sessions are not transferable, cannot be carried over to future terms, and are not eligible for credits or refunds under any circumstances.
