The Next Step After TOTS
BRIDGING PROGRAM
4-5 Years old
A purpose-built program designed to bridge the gap between early football development and organised team sport.
As children grow, so does the way they learn. The Bridging Program gives 4–5-year-olds the opportunity to develop their football skills, understanding, confidence and independence in an environment designed specifically for their stage of development.

Why Does The Bridging Program Exist?
Because The Right Environment Matters.
At LTFA, we believe children develop best when they’re surrounded by players at a similar stage and challenged at a level that is appropriate for them.
Our Bridging Program sits between TOTS and our 6&7s Group Training, giving children the opportunity to gradually transition from early learning into organised football.
The goal isn’t to push children as hard as possible. It’s to challenge them appropriately, so they can grow without losing confidence or enjoyment of the game.
More Than Just The Next Age Group
The Bridging Program is about preparing children for what’s next.
Through football, we help children develop the skills and confidence they need to take their first steps into organised team sport.
They begin to understand:
How the game is played
Basic football rules
How to work with teammates
How to participate in a game
How to listen, communicate and respond to a coach
How to make simple decisions on the pitch
Most importantly, they start to feel ready.
- Ready to join a team.
- Ready to play with others.
- Ready to make mistakes.
- Ready to have fun.

The LTFA Difference
We Develop The Child, Not Just The Player.
Our intentionally small groups allow our coaches to get to know each child, understand where they’re at, and adapt the way we coach them.
That means children aren’t simply moved through an age group. Instead, they are given the environment and support they need to continue progressing.
We use football as the vehicle to build skills, confidence, communication and independence, preparing children for their next step both on and off the pitch.
