Life Through Football

About Us

Who Are We?

LTFA is a football/soccer academy based in Sydney’s South focusing on providing a fun and challenging program for young children and emerging youth to develop both their football skills and life skills in an enjoyable environment, whether through small group or individual training sessions.

Our Mission

The two cornerstones of our programs:

01

Shaping Future Players and People On and Off the Field

Develop confident and resilient players and people through our football programs. Our focus is on excelling in both the child’s school and football environments while nurturing essential social skills and personal growth. We strive to have children learn the importance of taking care of both their mind and body, building strength physically and mentally, and developing habits for lifelong health and mental vitality.

Through our personalised life mentorship focus, our students are prepared for success both on and off the field, empowering them to grow as both an individual as well as a teammate.

02

Balancing Football, Academics, and Life Skills

We help your child improve their group cohesion skills all whilst balancing important commitments between both school and football life. Your child will learn to better manage the inevitable pressures that arise in the early stages of life – a critical skill we strive for our students to carry into their football and well beyond.

Ultimately, we are here with strong passion to develop young human beings through the game of football.

Coaches

All LTFA coaches have either played or coached at NSW National Premier League representative level. Additionally, all coaches have or are acquiring coaching licenses, ensuring they are always up to date with coaching accreditations.

As with the many young children currently pursuing their dreams of playing football professionally, I was once no different, embracing the opportunities I was given by my parents to play football in Australia at levels spanning grassroots through to state representative level.
Highlights of my playing career include captaining various teams in the NSW National Premier Leagues, captaining the Ist XI Trinity Grammar School team, captaining and winning the Bill Turner Cup with Trinity Grammar School and training alongside Spanish La Liga players in Serbia in the European winter months. I truly cherished every bit of my time on the field.

Unfortunately, four knee surgeries later amongst multiple other injuries, I came to the harsh realisation that this dream was not to be. However, I truly believe that the life skills I obtained in my pursuit of this dream have served me far better than any professional contract could ever have, leading me to my next chapter in the beautiful game on the other side of the white line as a football coach. With that, I would like to welcome LIFE THROUGH FOOTBALL ACADEMY (“LTFA”) to you – a football academy in which I aim to transfer these life skills over to the young children to whom I, alongside the LTFA coaches who share the same outlook, are lucky enough to guide.

In my view, football replicates life itself. It teaches us qualities about ourselves in a truly unique way, a way that life itself would not have otherwise been able to teach. Football continues to bring out the best in me and I hope to pass on this lens to the people that l am lucky enough to guide. such that they too can reap the benefits that this beautiful sport has to offer both on and off the field

I look forward to connecting with you as LTFA aims to shape the future generation of Australians playing the beautiful game, one young person at a time.

Coach

Foundation of Goalkeeping

Head of Goalkeeping LTFA

As a proud part of LTFA, I bring a deep passion for developing confident, modern-day goalkeepers who are ready to influence the game—not just guard the net.

Having experienced the unique challenges and triumphs of the position myself, I understand how powerful a goalkeeper’s presence can be.

My coaching philosophy is centred around building self-belief, presence, and resilience—empowering keepers to lead with strength, read the game with clarity, and elevate everyone around them.

Garvyn Kendrigan

Coach

Having spent most of my life playing representative football and still to this day, I have found a love and enjoyment in football related activities outside of playing.

My aim is to pass along the lessons I have learned playing football whether it be technically or mentally, as I hope to inspire younger plays to either excel beyond there expected level, or to merely find love in the beautiful game we call football.

Gaelen Dorigo

Coach

With years of experience as both a coach and player, and still actively competing at NPL level, I am passionate about developing well-rounded footballers.

My coaching approach focuses not only on improving technical ability, but also on building confidence, resilience, and a genuine love for the game.

Through empowerment, enjoyment, and positive guidance, I help players grow both on and off the field, developing not just their skills, but also their self-belief and character.

Oswaldo Maldonado

Coach

My football journey began at the age of seven, developing a lifelong passion for the game and a strong understanding of its technical and tactical aspects from an early age. I had the opportunity to play professionally in Venezuela, gaining valuable experience in high-performance environments and competitive football.

I also served as Sports Coordinator at Academia Deportiva Internacional (ADI) in Venezuela, where I oversaw player development programs and coached athletes between the ages of 6 and 18. My work focused on helping young players improve their technical skills, tactical awareness, physical development, and overall character.

As a coach, my mission is to help players reach their full potential by combining high-quality football training with the values of discipline, leadership, teamwork, and a winning mindset—both on and off the field.

Evan Kleinman

Coach

I am a passionate coach at LTFA with a strong love for football and player development.

My focus is on helping players grow both on and off the field by building confidence, teamwork, resilience, and a genuine enjoyment of the game.

Through football, I strive to create a positive, supportive, and engaging environment where every player feels encouraged to challenge themselves, develop their skills, and reach their full potential.

My goal is to help players not only become better footballers, but also more confident individuals.

Ava Fazio

Coach

Football has been a huge part of my life growing up, and coaching gives me the opportunity to share that passion with the next generation.

I’m passionate about creating a fun, positive, and supportive environment where every player feels encouraged to build confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy the game.

My goal is to help children not only improve on the field but also develop a lifelong love for football.

Ariana Eimer

Coach

I have been playing soccer since I was five and a half years old, and the sport has been a huge part of my life ever since. I previously played Division 1 soccer for Macquarie University, which helped develop my skills, teamwork, and love for the game.

Alongside coaching, I am studying to become an Early Childhood Educator. Working with children is something I genuinely love, and every job I have had has involved supporting and engaging with young people. I enjoy helping children build confidence, develop fundamental skills, and most importantly, have fun while being active.

As someone with a German and Malaysian background, I value diversity and creating an inclusive environment where every child feels welcome and supported. My goal is to make each session engaging, positive, and enjoyable, helping children develop a lifelong love of movement, learning, and soccer.

James Katakis

Coach

I am a passionate football coach at LTFA and a current NPL player, bringing both playing and coaching experience to my sessions.

My involvement in football throughout my life has given me a valuable insight into the technical, tactical, and mental aspects of the game, which I enjoy sharing with developing players.

I coach because I love helping young footballers improve their skills, build confidence, and develop a genuine love for the game.

Seeing players grow both on and off the field is incredibly rewarding, and I strive to create a positive, supportive environment where every player can reach their potential.

Evana Tjadhadi

Coach

My journey in football has been a lifelong passion, starting from park soccer, progressing through NPL, and now leading me to coaching.

I strive to create an environment where every child feels seen, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

As an LTFA coach we are deeply invested in your child’s growth and development and seeing your child’s passion for this sport grow, is the ultimate reward.
